Dear Community,

Community Meditation

Our next practice meeting will be this Sunday, February 21st, from 10 - 11am CST. Ben will be leading the gathering. We will continue exploring last week's theme and practice: vedanā (feeling tone or hedonic tone). You can register here.

StopLine3 Buddhist Gathering February 27th

There is an open invitation to Buddhists and friends to join this inter-community gathering. Details in this message from Lee Lewis below:

Dear Friends in the Dharma,

You are invited to a gathering of Buddhists and dharma practitioners to stand in solidarity with Indigenous leaders in resistance to Line 3.  The gathering will take place at Palisades, MN on Saturday, February 27.  This is where the pipeline is proposed to go under the Mississippi, River—the second time the line crosses the Great River.

We will caravan to Palisades, arriving at 11 a.m. and walk a short distance from the Honor the Earth camp to the Mississippi River for prayer and/or meditation.  Then, we will walk to the construction site and spend some time bearing witness and peacefully expressing our opposition to construction.  Finally, we’ll gather back at the camp for conversation and/or assisting with essential chores.  You should be home by early evening.

Palisades is about 2.5 hours--without stops—north of Minneapolis.

We're looking forward to practicing with you and being in community.

With metta (loving-kindness),
