Satipaṭṭhāna Study Group (Full)
SEPTEMBER 22, 11:30 PM - SEPTEMBER 23, 1 AM Central Daylight Time
This is a donation based offering

This course is a meditation-based exploration of the Satipaṭṭhāna, a 2,500 year old foundational Buddhist meditation teaching. Satipaṭṭhāna is a systematic exploration of establishing mindfulness and cultivating insight. The Buddha taught Satipaṭṭhāna as the direct path to a fully liberated heart and mind. He was abundantly clear about this. The Buddha begins and ends the teaching by saying:

Practitioner, this is the direct path for the purification of beings, for the surmounting of sorrow and lamentation, for the disappearance of dukkha and discontent, for acquiring the true method, for the realization of Nibbāna, namely, the four satipaṭṭhānas.

The text has the meditator explore four ways to establish mindfulness.

This course will be an exploration of Bhikkhu Analyo's approach to Satipaṭṭhāna, as outlined in his most recent book, Satipatthana Meditation: A Practice Guide.
